GM/ BIG OIL -PRICE FIXING OIL? SUPPRESSING ELECTRICS ?

http://www.ev1.org/

Why did GM, Texaco, and Chevron, seek to tie up control of the super battery (NI-MH) for large uses such as EV's?

We called Cobasys corp which had originated the control of the Ni-Mh patent.  They told us that  GM originally collaborated with the inventor "Ovshinsky" to create the Ni-MH battery.  It was a smash hit ~!

GM gained control of the patent for the Ni-MH (Nickel - Metal Hydride) battery.    One Ford executive was overheard saying " that Ni-MH battery, you can'd break the damn thing! " GM later sold controlling interest in that patent to TEXACO.

TEXACO was later bought by CHEVRON!   Today Cobasys says that the battery is not being suppressed and is available if you buy on quantity for $2000 per battery ($$$$ suppression by pricing high) .   The EV's need about 15 of these to operate which adds a significant increase in sticker prices (but  "American" Automakers won't make them anyway, why? NISSAN finally says it has one for sale now in 2011 but its the only fully 100% electric of note on the mass market in USA) .

So they proceeded to raise the price making a $50 battery for electric cars cost a $1000 (now $2000) per battery that no one can afford (and you need 10-15 of them -->$20K-$30K add on to sticker prices).

This massive increase over the original price of about $50 to $1000.00 has successfully prevented most from using it, effectively suppressing the EV in America while preserving the illusion that its available; via this method they have sold out all americans for money!

Honda couldn't afford the extra cost and so had to actually solder hundreds of D size flashlight batteries together in one big pack to provide power for its first production model of the Insight hybrid.

Toyota also similarly could not afford the added cost to each vehicle and had to solder about 60 small Ni-MH batteries together into one pack to provide power for its Prius Hybrid. Toyota in the late 90's built the Toyota RAV-4 EV (electrive vehicle) using the then available and cheaper full EV size Ni-MH batteries.. Most all of these RAV4 EV's are STILL on the Road and with the same ORIGINAL NI-MH batteries more than 10 years later.

Today the prius and insight are still using these make do battery packs waiting for the Oil War Mongers control on the Ni-MH battery to run out (2014).

These batteries are truly scary to the big corps who thrive on the OIL WARS!  This explains why they bought the patent and made the price unbearably high.

You may have noticed that after they Killed the Electric Car they started raising the price of oil drastically and have not let up even now we are at almost $100 a barrel for crude. WHY?   Because they know that the patent they bought runs out in 2010 and after that the world will discover how good the EV's really are when they have a great battery like the Ni-MH is.

What can you do?

Demand Electric Cars from your dealer or you won't buy anything !

Demand your government get out of VietRaqIstan.

Demand Investigations into the suppression and manipulation that was orchestrated by the corps who control our congress and white house, (yes they even control the supreme court. )

Silence is the doom of good people. We only need to speak out enmasse to create a better world. PEACE !

Shame ! ! !  Just look at Grocery Prices and all other prices driven insanely higher because of the these traitors.

(Chevron Holding NiMh Batteries Hostage) http://pppad.blogspot.com/2007/05/nimh-held-hostage-by-chevron-texaco.html Truth will set you free!

Welcome to PEACE NIK INTERNATIONAL ! The site for development of future endeavors to encourage PEACEFUL alternatives to the awful miseries of the war!

Our position is that if approached in a logical manner Peace is always on the table as an alternative. Further we believe that given enough time and information even the hardest persons deep down inside prefer peace to war. We believe that ALL citizens need to do their little bit to promote peaceful alternatives. We feel that certain entities such as defense industry corporations who hire full time "lobbyists" are depriving the average citizen not only of much needed money for social programs but also rob us of our ability to control our own government . We believe that massive campaign donations keep the same puppets in offices who indirectly take "directions" from those same corps who donate indirectly thru pacs and other go-betweens.

We believe that we are now involved in an OIL WARs for oil that we really wouldn't even need if it weren't for those who circumvent the public will thru various schemes and devices to suppress alternative energy sources, peace efforts, and citizen control of their own government.

This site then is dedicated to PEACE NOW, alternative energy sources and uses (ie Electric Car) and methods to make those efforts successful.
We support the creation of a Dept of Peace withing the U.S. Government and with full funding and independent ability to nurture peace and alternative energy development and uses.

Its very sad that so many young people are coming back to america with their arms and legs blown off in a war for oil that we wouldnt' need if we had the alternative energy installed and used as was projected in the late 80's. We believe the ELECTRIC CAR is being suppressed by the big corporations who would lose so much profit if the U.S and world were not so dependent on OIL and Internal Combustion Engine Gas and Diesal Engines (ICE ).

BELOW is an exerpt from a blog where one user laments the suppression of the NIMH batteries what make ev's work so well (last line).  The Chevron/Texaco/GM/Detroit conspiracy needs to be investigated.  No relief in sight until we get honest president or the NiMh patent runs out late in 2014?

I didn't think so. As I recall the 85Ah units in the EV1 and RAV4 EV were at least as good as Toyota's 6.5Ah or Nilar's 9Ah.

Ovonics 9500:
12V, 85AH, 17.4kg, 6.7L
Specific Power: 250 W/kg
Specific Energy: 60 Wh/kg
Energy Density: 155 Wh/L

http://www.evbones.com/9500c.gif

Panasonic EV Plastic Prismatic NimH
7.2V, 6.5Ah, 1.04kg, 0.59L
Specific Power: 1300W/kg
Specific Energy: 46 Wh/kg
Energy Density: 79.3 Wh/L

Plastic Case Prismatic Module Panasonic EV Energy Co., Ltd.

Nilar Membrane NimH
24V, 9Ah, 3.9kg, 1.93L
Specific Power: 277 W/kg
Specific Energy: 55 Wh/kg
Energy Density: 112 Wh/L

Nilar - a new way of packaging energy

Seems like the big ones were pretty competitive with the best available today. The Panasonic's specific power is pretty impressive though. Too bad Chevrons patents prevent anyone from actually using the big ones

BELOW IS ANOTHER USER WHO CORRECTLY STATES THAT OVIONICS/ COBASYS CORP (OWNED BY CHEVRON/TEXACO) WON'T ALLOW LARGE FORMAT BY LICENSEES (THEY MADE THE PRICE 20X HIGHER AFTER PURCHASING CONTROL FROM GM (YES THE CARMAKER, GETTING THE PICTURE? ).

"Maybe that is why Sanyo has limited supply..."

Check your facts. Sanyo doesn't supply HV battery for the Prius.

"If the batteries are that reliable then, I wonder why Toyota spent the extra money to make them modular, so they would only have to replace the failing module."

Panasonic EV made 7.2V modules to get around licensing lawsuits. Ovonic(I think) only license out NiMH technology to produce small cells. They reserve the right to make large cells for electric vehicle development. One way for Japanese battery manufacturers to get around is to make and sell small modules. Hybrid car manufacturers buy those modules and form a bigger pack. Ability to be able to replace bad modules is a side benefit from that lawsuit loop hole.

Alternative transport ion is not just a good idea its a matter of national security since the greatest transfer of wealth in the history of mankind has / is taking place.   OPEC makes enough in 6 days to buy GM and enough in 3 years to buy 20% of S&P 500.   Our government has let us down by letting big oil suppress the electric car in America.  In 1998 oil was $8 /barrel now its $TOO HIGH strangling USA economics.  Economies thrive on cheap energy and starve without it.  WE NEED THE ELECTRIC CAR AND NOW!   Imagine 50 cent gasoline and never having to stop at gas stations unless you are going more than 100 miles !

Watch a video of the car GM tried to exterminate destroying evidence of how good it is:

ELECTRIC CARS SUPPRESSED FOR OIL MONEY!

In London, they offer free parking to Electric Vehicles (EV's).   Two reports say the some suburban towns near London have almost completely adopted some sort of Electric Car (at least as a 2nd car) for commuting everyday. Electric Cars Get Another Boost in London
Source: Edie.Net   Published: 31 Jul 2008   -  100 more charging stations to be installed and 'Electric Car Partnership' formed to encourage manufacturers to accelerate introduction of electric cars. !

Why isn't the USA leading the pack in this method that would reduce the dependence on OIL by up to 90% ? Why is it so hard for foreign EV makers to sell in America? Why isn't our government nurturing the Electric Car?

The big Auto, Oil, and Defense, corps are doing as little as possible, but just a little, to create the illusion that they are trying to promote alternative fuel vehicles when in fact they are suppressing the EV in America.

They feverishly recalled and destroyed 1110 brand new EV1's in the late 1990's (see "Who Killed the Electric Car"  http://www.ev1.org/ ) and now hype a super expensive H car that everyone knows is dangerous, expensive to fill, hard to fill, and far away in the future.  Why would they destroy evidence of a great car? Conversely, Why would they destroy evidence of a poor car so completely (remember yugo, gremlin, pinto)?  Neither scenario makes sense.  If the car was poor they'd force it out there anyway to minimize losses.   The destruction of evidence they don't want the world to know about is a primary suspect motive.

The EV is here now, yesterday, and they are ignoring it at the same time as they funnel fantastic unbelievable profits from the blood of your young being sacrificed in VietRaqIstan to the Muslim, Arabic, Islamic, sharia law , types of people .

They love this perpetual war for oil we don't really need.

Also this contributes heavily to global warming and air pollution.  Electrics scrub out pollutants at the central power plant smokestack, not at the 300 million tailpipes, which reduces pollution 66% .

This high oil is hurting (bankrupting many ) our economy and is affecting every citizen in USA in a negative manner.

Henry Ford vowed in the 1914 that there would never be one nut or bolt come from his factory for military use; saying " Wall Street profits over the graves of poor young men"

Thomas Jefferson " We must be very careful about the military suppliers lobbyists, they show a propensity to favor money at the expense of lives, to favor war over peace"

It seems that both now are sadly come true !

Toyota also similarly could not afford the added cost to each vehicle and had to solder about 28 small Ni-MH batteries together into one pack to provide power for its Prius Hybrid (recent 2013-2014 Prius's seem to use Li-ion but be prepared the Ni-Mh patent is about to run out finally. NOTE: Ovshinsky the genius behind present day Ni-Mh battery held hostage also invented a Solar Shingle that is super lightweight (hold one on your little finger ) and also outperforms heavy glass encased Silicon types of Solar cells because they can even produce electricity in the rain (indirect low light), THUS:  these Solar shingles can even be used for house siding and even car siding (imagine whole car body covered with attractively designed lightweight solar cells (not just on the roof), wow ! that bespeaks for a "game changer", ,  BUT ALAS Ovshinsky's co , ECD , was bought out by Uni-SOL, and immediately driven into bankruptcy!... if you call them they either hang up on  you or tap dance around trying to interrogate you as to who you are and who you represent, they don't seem to even have a sales dept (similar to NIMH battery co's that make the large format type electric car batteries? ) .

Can We Power A House Without The Power Company? (by a friend in the business. )

12/10/2007 1:32 PM

I'm working on solar solutions for power generation that don't involve batteries and huge collector arrays. I have researched Sterling engines, tracking parabolic solar collectors, glaubers salts, using components that are in the ground to take advantage of the stable temperatures below 1 meter. So far I've come up with a solar thermal generator for power during the day and using a Sterling engine that uses heat stored in glaubers salt for night time generation. I've received lots of valuable information from many people who share the interest of being independent from power companies and want to use available science and engineering techniques to develop sustainable energy sources for domestic applications, in fact some of these technologies have commercial and industrial applications. Can we power a house with using a power company service drop? Yes. Can we heat and cool a house without using AC and scorched air heating units? Yes. Why aren't we? The power company, petroleum industry, building codes, zoning codes etc.. The hope I have is that if we can develop a "power plant" for a single family dwelling. " I started in solar in the 80's and things were humming until the petroleum companies started buying up components for solar technology like brass, low-E glass, copper and heat exchange materials."

ECD Ovonics licenses NiMH battery tech to G4 Synergetics

ECD Ovonics, a pioneer in nickel metal hydride battery technology has agreed to license some of their patents to G4 Synergetics. G4 will pay royalties to Ovonics in order to build NiMH batteries consumer applications and potentially also Chinese scooter and bicycle applications. They won't be allowed to make batteries for any automotive or other transport uses.

[Source: ECD Ovonics]

The Birmingham News reports that the Germany company filed a lawsuit in federal court contending the Michigan-based battery maker (a spin-off of ECD that was originally co-owned with GM and known as GM-Ovonics) is "refusing to fulfill its commitment to produce" battery packs for the car maker....

In a very terse, matter-of-fact interview with Hybrid Cars.com, Cobasys president and CEO Tom Neslage sought to counter some of the negative publicity and speculation swirling around his company. For example: Is GM going to buy you? No comment.
